Ryegrass, Perennial
Description
Perennial Ryegrass (lolium perenne) is highly regarded as a source of both forage and hay. With a leafy head and fine stem, it is considered very palatable. Perennial ryegrass is a rapid starter and can grow to a height of 1.5 to 3 feet without becoming unpalatable.

Harvesting and Yields
For optimal quality and quantity perennial ryegrass should be cut in early boot stage. Pacific Northwest growing region offers four to six harvests. A five-cutting season offers yields in the range of 40, 18, 15, 12, and 15.

Finishing and Packaging
We offer perennial ryegrass in both hay and straw with uncompressed and double compressed options. All finishing types including wrap, straps, and pallets are made available.
